True independence

He came to set the captives free
and set at liberty those who are in bondage.

All who sin are slaves to sin.
Jesus broke the chains and loose the fetters of our bondage.

He, who the Son sets free, is free indeed.
He has set us free from our dungeons.

He has paid the debt of death for us.
By his stripes we are healed.

So on this Independence Day,
I remember How Jesus brought spiritual freedom to my life.
