by the amount you prosper in this life.

Many they are who assume the pathway of godliness
is determined by the way that gives them the greatest personal gain.

These are they who mistaken personal gain for godliness.
They will always follow the way that promises
the greatest prospect of personal gain.

They quickly turn from any test of God
that would make them suffer personally.

Follow after the way of truth, not wealth.
